I Thought I Knew You!

“That’s it! I’m done with that idiot!” Gary announced.
Confused, Lisa asked, “What are you talking about?”
Gary ruffled his hair. “We’re gonna have to move.”
Lisa watched as her husband paced the house like a caged dog, occasionally peering through the blinds into the neighbor’s yard.
“I can’t live next door to someone who thinks that way.”
Lisa stopped Gary. “What happened? What has you all riled up?”
Gary pointed. “Did you see the sign Jon put in his front yard? Can you believe that dummy is gonna vote that way? I can’t be friends with that moron anymore.”
Lisa protested. “Have you lost your mind? Y’all have been friends for over 15 years. Y’all hang out all the time. I could have told you he voted that way at least 14 years ago. How do you not know him better than that?”
“I thought I did!”
“We’ve had our sign out all month. He hasn’t disowned us yet.”
