The Right Path
by Scott Harper
“Just because you're following the path you believe God has laid out for you does not mean the journey will be easy.”

How often have you been on a road trip when the GPS led you through the sketchiest part of town imaginable? You see things that lead you to believe a war happened that you didn’t hear about on Facebook.
You begin doubting the electronic voice as you’re guided through potholes the size of swimming pools, over the worst railroad crossings in existence, and past buildings that look like they were used for target practice or as the canvas of a five-dollar art class.
Just about the time you’re ready to abandon the plan, you come out on the other side and realize you saved yourself half an hour. If you don’t get mugged and the kids don’t see anything that will require therapy, you probably decide the path was worth it.
What about the rest of your life?
Not just the shortest route—but are there areas in your life where the journey looks terrifying, uncomfortable, or uncertain . . . yet you still believe the path is worth it?
Sharper Leader:
1. Do you believe your journey should be easier? Why?
Action Step: Pray. Ask God to reveal to you where He wants you. If He reveals nothing, stay on your path.
2. Do you believe you’re on the wrong path? Why?
Action Step: Pray and seek wise counsel—not just someone who will agree with you.
3. Do you want to turn off the GPS and turn the car around (figuratively speaking)?
Action Step: Unless you’re in a dangerous situation, stay the course until God gives you peace about your next step. You never know what He has planned for you on the other side.
